Natural history

A love of the natural world

Footprint Ecology staff have a wide-ranging and long-standing interest in the natural world. As a consequence, as a team we have a range of expertise in natural history (particularly birds, high and lower plants, cetaceans and invertebrates) and in animal behaviour. This is reflected in the range of voluntary work individual staff members carry out, including for the Wetland Bird Survey (WeBS), the National Plant Monitoring Scheme (NPMS), Botanical Society of the British Isles (BSBI) recording, and voluntary work for the Bees, Wasps and Ants Recording Society (BWARS).
